Sizing and cost

Royal Mail size bands decide the price of small items. A large letter has to be within 353 by 250 mm and 25 mm thick, which is why a padded mailer that fits through the 25 mm gauge costs a fraction of one that does not. Small parcel is up to 45 by 35 by 16 cm. We state on every mailer whether it goes through the large letter gauge when packed sensibly. Packaging is a reportable waste stream for businesses over the thresholds in the extended producer responsibility rules, and the data is easier to collect if your packaging is simple. Paper void fill and paper tape are recyclable in the household stream; bubble wrap and poly mailers are not in most areas. We state the recyclability plainly rather than printing a leaf on the label. Recyclability: fully recyclable. Goes through the large letter gauge when packed flat to 25 mm.

Which quantity to buy

Box of One Hundred is a hundred which is the usual reorder quantity for a small despatch bench. Case of Five Hundred is five hundred at a lower price each. Pallet of Two Thousand is a pallet delivered by tail lift at the lowest price per unit. We sell despatch consumables by what they actually cost per parcel rather than by the price on the box, and every listing states the size the quantity and the cost per unit. If a smaller box would ship your product cheaper we would rather tell you than sell you the one you already order.
