Packaging and recycling

We state what each packaging type can be recycled with, plainly and without leaf logos. Here is what our tags mean.

Recyclable

Made of paper or board that goes in the household paper and card stream in most areas: paper padded mailers, rigid board mailers, cardboard boxes, paper tape, paper void fill and honeycomb paper wrap.

Plastic free

Paper and board products with no plastic layer or bubble lining. Kraft bubble lined mailers are not plastic free: the paper outer recycles, but the bubble lining does not unless it is separated.

Waterproof

Poly mailers keep rain out and are light to post, but they are not recyclable in most household collections.

Producer responsibility

Larger businesses have reporting duties for the packaging they place on the market under the extended producer responsibility rules. Simple, single material packaging makes that data easier to collect. Check the current thresholds with the government guidance for your business.
